This caught my attention this morning.
I being a tech freak always reading up on technology found this amazing.

In a TODAY exclusive, I had a chance to talk with Gates at Microsoft’s Redmond, Washington campus about a revolutionary new device Microsoft now calls “Surface.” (MSNBC.com is a Microsoft-NBC Universal joint venture.)

“Pretty exciting, eh?” Gates said with a sly smile, when he put his hand down on what looked initially like a low, black coffee table: At the touch of his hand, the hard, plastic tabletop suddenly dissolved into what looked like tiny ripples of water. The ‘water’ responded to each of his fingers and the ripples rushed quickly away in every direction.

“Go ahead,” he said. “Try it.” When I placed my hand on the table at the same time, there were more ripples.

It took a moment to appreciate what was happening. Every hand motion Gates or I did was met with an immediate response from the table. There was no keyboard. There was no mouse. Just our gestures.

But it also reminded me of a video I saw about a year ago on You Tube.

Now I don’t know who came up with this first but it would seem to me that Microsoft just stole the Idea from Jeff Han. I would want to think that Microsoft BOUGHT the idea from Jeff, but I did not see any reference to that in the MSNBC article.

Hillary Bill Clinton or is it Hillary Clinton or was it Hillary R. Clinton?
Shit, I don’t know anymore!
Anyways, the mother socialist spoke before students at Manchester School of Technology. In her speech she aroused the students by speaking on togetherness and value of sharing…..I.E. FREAKING COMMUNISM!!!

Drudge dug the story.
You can read the full article here.

Lets go over what she said.

The Democratic senator said what the Bush administration touts as an “ownership society” really is an “on your own” society that has widened the gap between rich and poor. “I prefer a ‘we’re all in it together’ society,” she said. “I
believe our government can once again work for all Americans. It can promote the great American tradition of opportunity for all and special privileges for none.”

What she means is no individuals!!
All must depend on the government and beg for its aid!
You cannot be an individual and work and prosper, because obviously it wrong to her!

That means pairing growth with fairness, she said, to ensure that the middle-class succeeds in the global economy, not just corporate CEOs. “There is no greater force for economic growth than free markets. But markets work best with rules that promote our values, protect our workers and give all people a chance to succeed,” she said. “Fairness doesn’t just happen. It requires the right government policies.”

WHO”S FLIPPING VALUES AND RULES??? Her rules? Her values?
“markets work best with rules”.

For the love of god this has my blood boiling!!!!!

WAIT! I’m not done yet!

We have sent a message to our young people that if you don’t go to college … that you’re thought less of in America. We have to stop this,” she said. “Our country cannot run without the people who have the skills that are taught in
this school.”

EH HEM… uh… hey Hillary! Aren’t you one of the senators saying yes to this amnesty bill?

Beyond education, Clinton said she would reduce special breaks for corporations, eliminate tax incentives for companies that ship jobs overseas and open up CEO pay to greater public scrutiny. Clinton also said she would help people save
more money by expanding and simplifying the earned income tax credit; create new
jobs by pursuing energy independence; and ensure that every American has affordable health insurance.

I need a cigarette!

This week Sheehan has announced that she no longer with be the “poster child” of the anti war movement.

“This is my resignation letter as the ‘face’ of the American anti-war movement,” Sheehan wrote in a blog entry posted Monday titled “Good Riddance Attention Whore.”

“I am going to take whatever I have left and go home. I am going to go home and be a mother to my surviving children and try to regain some of what I have lost.”

Like I have said before. I am sorry for her loss.
But she still doesn’t get it.

But then she goes on to say this:

“Goodbye America … you are not the country that I love and I finally realized no matter how much I sacrifice, I cant make you be that country unless you want it,” she concluded.

Interesting that she says this on the heals of her favorite leader Chavez closing down the longest running TV station because he did not agree with what they were reporting.

On Monday several people were injured as police in Caracas fired rubber bullets and tear gas to put down a demonstration against the RCTV shutdown, following the fifth straight day of protests.

A policeman’s leg was broken in the fracas, a police official said.

RCTV was replaced by TVes, a state-backed “socialist” station which opened with cultural shows. Chavez supporters held a huge, night-to-dawn public party outside the network studios to celebrate the birth of the new “socialist television” and the end of the bitterly anti-Chavez media outlet.

Perhaps she is going to move the Venezuela.
But remember Cindy unlike this great nation where you can say whatever RIDICULOUSNESS like you have in the past you can’t go talking bad about Chavez. You’ll probably be SHOT or Jailed. Castro Style!

Decrying near-record high gasoline prices, the House voted Tuesday to allow the government to sue OPEC over oil production quotas.

Gasoline prices “may ease somewhat,” Guy Caruso, chief of the Energy Department’s statistical agency, told the House Energy and Commerce investigations subcommittee. But he said pressure on gas prices will remain strong “with the hurricane season approaching, continued tight refinery conditions, low gas inventories and increased demand for summer travel.”

Nevertheless, the House felt it was important to take on OPEC, the major player in oil production. Member states of OPEC late last year cut production by 1.1 million barrels a day to counter what had been a buildup of world oil stocks.

Conyers accused the OPEC engaging in a “price fixing conspiracy” that has “unfairly driven up the price” of crude oil and, in turn gasoline.

Ok lets be very honest here. NONE of us like high oil prices. Going to the pump reminds me of the following:

But we need to realize that SUING OPEC isn’t going to TRULY solve anything. What are you going to sue them for? To give you more oil? Come on now! There is a certain level of arrogance in the United States that we somehow can impose our will on any nation or any corporation or organization we want. Its a false sentiment. And one that tends to sometimes backfire.

What something like this may do is piss them off even further and they cut production some more. The reality is that until we have an alternative there is JACK that Governors, Senators, Congressmen or the President can do about the Oil Prices. OPEC can set the prices to whatever the hell they want and the reality is that we HAVE to pay for it.

Capitalism works really easily in that if you give an alternative than the price of both will compete against each other in a race to the bottom or happy medium for consumers not only in the US but Globally.

Our friends in the UK are REALLY feeling it at the pump paying upwards of 6 dollars a gallon!

To think that suing OPEC will actually force them to lower prices is laughable. What we need to do instead of wasting needless energy on that is develop something AWAY from oil. Not Ethanol either. I don’t think that is a viable solution either. Then you are subject to a CORN CARTEL instead of an oil cartel.

We need to move into HYDROGEN FUEL CELLS!
That is where the energy focus should be. Not batteries or electric cars that need to be charged every 80 miles. Fuel Cells that can be pumped LIKE gas into your car. It may be a slow change especially to convert everyone and gas stations to this new energy source but it has to be a necessary step.

So this week in Global Warming we had Snow in Colorado.
For those looking at the Date. YES ITS MAY!

The southwestern mountains of Colorado were under under a snow advisory Wednesday, with up to 8 inches of accumulation possible. A freeze watch was in effect Wednesday night in the San Luis Valley region and much of southeastern Colorado was under a flash-flood watch.

On the other side of the globe in South Africa we had 54 records broken this week:

THE icy weather of snow, hail and heavy rain that has swept across South Africa over the past few days has set 54 weather records.

The South African Weather Service said 34 new records were set on Monday and another 20 yesterday. Almost all records were for the lowest maximum and minimum daily temperatures in towns across the country.

Plettenberg Bay and Tsitsikamma both recorded their highest daily rainfall, at 68mm and 71.2mm respectively, on Monday. Plettenberg Bay recorded its lowest minimum temperature, 5.6°C, yesterday. Tsitsikamma had its lowest maximum temperature on Monday, 12.1°C, and its lowest minimum yesterday, 6.3°C.

The lowest minimum temperature recorded was -6°C in Welkom, while the lowest maximum temperature was a mere 1.7°C in Barkly East. Both were recorded on Monday night.

None of this week’s records reached the lowest temperature yet recorded in South Africa – -18.6°C recorded at Buffelsfontein in the Eastern Cape in 1996.

Back to America: Pikes Peek to be Exact.

In the years the cadets have lived in Colorado Springs, tennis shoes and jeans would have been adequate for a May Pikes Peak climb, but this year it’s so snowy that skiers have been riding the train up and skiing down the east face this month.

Temperatures at the summit have hovered around freezing for days. Snow will likely last into June or July.

But again its not “GLOBAL WARMING” that people are calling it but “GLOBAL CLIMATE CHANGE”. HA!

REAL Torture…

Sooo liberals think that what the United States does in stress positions and water boarding are torture. Ohh and the loud music too.

This is what torture REALLY is!

MAY 24–In a recent raid on an al-Qaeda safe house in Iraq, U.S. military officials recovered an assortment of crude drawings depicting torture methods like “blowtorch to the skin” and “eye removal.” Along with the images, which you’ll find on the following pages, soldiers seized various torture implements, like meat cleavers, whips, and wire cutters. Photos of those items can be seen here. The images, which were just declassified by the Department of Defense, also include a picture of a ramshackle Baghdad safe house described as an “al-Qaeda torture chamber.” It was there, during an April 24 raid, that soldiers found a man suspended from the ceiling by a chain. According to the military, he had been abducted from his job and was being beaten daily by his captors. In a raid earlier this week, Coalition Forces freed five Iraqis who were found in a padlocked room in Karmah. The group, which included a boy, were reportedly beaten with chains, cables, and hoses.

But no wait we should be doing Dick Durbin’s kit gloves technique.

God, where do I even start with this thing.
Let me start by saying that I have read SOME of the actual text of this thing and its REALLY boring to read but there are things in it that will open your eyes.

The Heritage Foundation happened to do us all the favor and put up the actual text of the bill HERE

Its not exactly a Brad Thor novel but it is a must read for anyone that really cares about the direction that this “IMMIGRATION REFORM” will take this nation.

For its part the Heritage Foundation has done some GREAT research on the subject matter and even given some very stark figures and analysis to back up their claims. All of which point to the complete destruction of the middle class in America. The erosion of high skilled labor and technical labor in favor of more HB1 Visas which is also part of this bill.

From The Fiscal Cost of Low-Skill Immigrants to the U.S. Taxpayer. In which they look at EVERY fiscal angle of this immigration bill and the implications it has on the future of America. How the very core of the middle class is not only ATTACKED but a bunker buster dropped on it. How you ask?

By most reports, there were some 11 million illegal immigrants in the U.S. in 2004.[13] About 9.3 million of these individuals were adults.[14] Roughly 50 to 60 percent of these illegal adult immigrants lacked a high school degree.[15] About 90 percent of illegal immigrants are reported in the CPS.[16] This report covers only those illegal immigrants reported in the CPS and does not address the remaining 10 percent not counted by the Census Bureau.

The Heritage Foundation also looks at how this effects the middle class through the new addition of now out in the open illegal immigrants.

The High Cost of Low-Skill Immigrants

The Heritage report, published as the Senate takes up legislation to put illegal aliens on a fast track to citizenship, calculates that households of low-skill immigrants paid an average $10,573 in taxes in fiscal 2004.

But these low-skill immigrants received almost three times as much — $30,160 per household — in government benefits and services. That’s a “fiscal deficit” of $19,587.

That’s also about $10,000 more in services and benefits — mostly welfare payments — than the average U.S. household got.

“Over the next 10 years,” analysts Robert Rector and Christine Kim write, “the net cost (benefits minus taxes) to the taxpayer of low-skill immigrant households will approach $1 trillion.”

At least half of adult illegal aliens don’t have a high school diploma, according to Pew Hispanic Center, compared with 25 percent of legal immigrants. By contrast, 9 percent of nonimmigrant adults lack a high school diploma.

It also goes into the aspect of the well known Pyramid Scheme called SOCIAL SECURITY and the new implications and faster peril an already bankrupt system will face.

These figures belie the notion that government can relieve financial strains in Social Security and other programs simply by importing younger immigrant workers. The fiscal impact of an immigrant worker is determined far more by skill level than by age. Low-skill immigrant workers impose a net drain on government finance as soon as they enter the country and add significantly to those costs every year they remain. Actually, older low-skill immigrants are less costly to the U.S. taxpayer since they will be a burden on the fisc for a shorter period of time.

Through it all this entire bill comes down to this one line by House Minority Leader John Boehner: “ITS A PIECE OF SHIT”

I simply cannot grasp WHY the Republicans have gone along with what amounts to AMNESTY. Forget what the President is saying, what Secretary Chertof is saying. This bill is the same rehashed crap from 20 years ago in 1986. Only with 10-20 times MORE of a problem.

There may be SOME connection to all of this in the form of what Mexico has been doing in helping on the war on terror. And the “assistance” in apprehending the border crossing of thousands of Middle Easterners at our Southern Borders. As noted in the long 4 part story in the San Antonio News Express. Of a middle eastern man and his progress and journey into the United States

He had become ensnared in the outer edge of a largely unknown American security net, spun out of fear and perhaps a necessary presumption that Boles and his new cellmates might well be terrorists bent on infiltrating the U.S.

But Boles also was in the clutches of another country’s rarely discussed security preoccupation. Mexico’s fear that an attack on the U.S. might originate on its soil had elevated counterterrorism to a top Mexico priority and produced one of the most closely intertwined partnerships in the American war on terror, particularly on the question of special-interest immigrants.

But if that is the case it still seems really silly and stupid to trade one good policy for America for one really BAD one! You see Mexico KNOWS and their biggest fear is that the next terrorist attack comes with a Mexico stamp. Mexico knowing that with that sort of occurrence it pretty much ends having the 50% of their GDP from coming in. Which is the exportation of workers into the US to send money back to Mexico.

The Heritage Foundation goes as far as to layout even the MYTHS behind what Bush and his administration is saying about this bill.

Myth-busting the White House on Immigration

1. MYTH: This is not amnesty.

FACT: The bill takes an approach similar to that of the 1986 immigration law. President Reagan backed that law… and called it amnesty. So does Black’s Law Dictionary, which says, ‘the 1986 Immigration Reform and Control Act provided amnesty for undocumented aliens already in the country.'”

The Administration says it” not amnesty because illegal immigrants will be “punished,” i.e., they’ll have to pay a $1,000 fine. That” not enough to cover the government” processing costs. In return, people who have entered the country illegally would get to (1) stay here permanently, (2) gain immediate entitlement to government assistance and benefits and (3) bring their families over as well. This is beyond amnesty. It doesn’t just forgive criminal behavior, it rewards it.

2. MYTH: This proposal does not repeat the mistakes of the 1986 Immigration Reform and Control Act.

FACT: This proposal exacerbates those mistakes. The 1986 law approved amnesty for 3 million immigrants in exchange for “greatly strengthened” border security and law enforcement. This bill would provide amnesty three to four times as many illegals, while offering the same empty promises to beef up enforcement.

The 1986 law gave temporary resident status to most illegals who could show they’d lived here continuously for five years. The new proposal would do this for anyone who” lived here for the last five months. The only “proof” required: an affidavit signed by anyone other than a blood relative of the applicant, and a second, equally non-secure document.

3. MYTH: The government will crack down on the hiring of illegal workers.

FACT: You can’t “crack down” on something that doesn’t exist. And all but a handful of illegal workers will become magically legal within 24 hours of applying for the new Z-visa. Even when an illegal is found to be ineligible for a Z-visa, the proposal states “nothing in this paragraph shall require the Secretary to commence removal proceedings against an alien.” There” also a huge loophole that waves current deportation requirements due to “humanitarian circumstances.”

4. MYTH: This proposal would not cut in half the amount of fence built by the Secure Fence Act of 2006.

FACT: The Secure Fence Act authorized 700 miles of new fencing along the U.S.-Mexico border. The proposal would implement the new temporary worker and Z visa programs once the feds have installed at least 370 miles of fencing. So the White House is correct. It wouldn’t cut fencing by “half,” only by 47 percent.

5. MYTH: The trigger period will not cause a rush to the border.

FACT: Limiting amnesty “only” to those who entered the country illegally prior to Jan. 1, does nothing to stem the rush to the border. Since illegals can get a Z visa on the basis of only two easily-manufactured documents, fraudulent documentation will keep the stream of illegal immigrants flowing. All the trigger period does is create an incentive for today” illegals to claim they’ve been illegal since Jan. 1.

6. MYTH: By providing an opportunity for citizenship to illegal immigrants already here, the bill will not exponentially increase extended-family chain migration.

FACT: In granting immediate amnesty to so many millions, the bill will dramatically accelerate family chain migration over the next six years. At that point, the proposal purports to replace family chain migration with skill-based immigration preferences. That change may or may not occur. Meanwhile, the bill establishes a brand-new opening for chain migration: “family members in hardship cases.”

7. MYTH: The temporary worker program is good for American workers.

FACT: By creating both the Z visa program and the Y visa program (for future temporary workers), the proposal sets the stage for millions of new workers to enter the labor market, potentially depressing wages.

Meanwhile, the influx of workers will increase demand for higher taxes. The bill would allow guest workers to bring their spouses and children into the U.S. These children would be entitled to free education (average taxpayer cost: $9,600 per child). Plus any child born to a guest worker here is deemed a U.S. citizen with guaranteed lifetime entitlement to more than 60 different federal welfare programs.

8. MYTH: Illegal immigrants will not come onto the welfare rolls.

FACT: As soon as illegals get Z-visa status, they become eligible for free medical care under Medicaid and their children are immediately entitled to welfare. After five years in Lawful Permanent Resident status, amnesty recipients become eligible for nearly all 60 federal welfare programs including food stamps, public housing, and Temporary Assistance to Needy Families.

9. MYTH: Government agencies will be able to share information to pursue immigration violators.

FACT: True and false. Unless a background check turns up something criminal about a Z visa applicant within 24 hours after the initial paperwork is submitted, enforcement agencies are blocked from pursuing deportation for a full year.

The bill also gives the Secretary of Homeland Security authority to require a national ID card… for all citizens.

10. MYTH: Senators can cast an informed vote on the bill today.

FACT: Senators did not receive even a draft of the bill until 2 a.m. Saturday–leaving them less than three days to read and understand this complex and convoluted proposal before being forced to vote to bring it to the floor. Only after that vote will they receive a final copy of the proposal–legislation that will affect American security, our economy culture for generations to come. The bill” proponents are pressing for a vote on final passage — without congressional hearings, committee mark-up, fiscal analysis, expert testimony, or public comment — before the Memorial Day recess. So much for due diligence by “the world” greatest deliberative body.”

Michelle Malkin has also done a great piece on this very issue:
The comprehensive open-borders goodie bag. Highlighting parts of the bill that SCREAM AMNESTY!

All the while we have Tony Snow on Bill Bennetts show blowing Smoke up our ASS!

Which brings me to our own beloved senator here in Florida. MEL “Shamnesty” MARTINEZ. Yes we have talked about Mel before

In fact I sent him an email yesterday pretty much saying my position and how he will NEVER EVER win another election in the state of Florida. That is pretty much a guarantee.

But there needs to be more than just sending emails to these “Senators”. We the American LEGAL Citizens of this nation NEED TO RALLY. There needs to be a movement within the Citizenship to stop this BULLSHIT now. We can send all the emails we want, mail bricks to senators but in the end we need to send a CLEAR MESSAGE to all of these Senators that THEY WORK FOR US! NOT FOR THE ILLEGALS! They are CIVIL SERVANTS THAT WORK FOR THE PEOPLE OF THIS NATION!

There needs to be rally of MASSIVE proportions in the streets of this country that send a RESOUNDING HELL FUCKING NO to this bill. I will be urging the likes of Rush, Hannity, O’Reily, Malkin, Ingrham, Boortz, Campbell, Hedinger, Gallagher, Savage, Lou Dobbs, Bill Bennet, Levin, Medved, Sliwa ETC to band together on the radio and TV to rally America not just on their TV screens but to take to the streets. This is not a partisan issue. Its not even a racial issue. I myself am Latino and damn proud of it. This is a LEGAL IMMIGRATION ISSUE and how we the people want this nation shaped!

Its perhaps the ONLY way that we can get a clear message to Washington that this will be TOTALLY unacceptable to the people of this nation.
